Consensus meetings Norecopa arranges international consensus meetings on the application of the 3Rs to specific areas of research involving animals. Four such meetings have been arranged (including one by the temporary platform before Norecopa was officially founded). The first international consensus meeting, organised by the temporary national platform, was held in May 2005 at Gardermoen, Oslo: Harmonisation of the Care and Use of Fish in Research The meeting attracted 100 participants from 10 countries. Norecopa arranged the second international consensus meeting in May 2008: Harmonisation of the Care and Use of Animals in Field Research There were 50 participants from 5 countries at this meeting. Norecopa arranged the third international consensus meeting in September 2009. This was a sequel to the first meeting and had the same title: Harmonisation of the Care and Use of Fish in Research There were 61 participants from 7 countries at this meeting. Norecopa arranged the fourth international consensus meeting in September 2012: Harmonisation of the Care and Use of Agricultural Animals in Research There were 47 participants from 12 countries at this meeting.
