Scand-LAS 2002
The 32nd Scand-LAS Annual Symposium and Educational Days
Uniting Science and the Three Rs
Main topics:
There will be parallel sessions in English and Scandinavian.
The Symposium will be held at the Clarion Oslo Airport Hotel, Gardermoen Airport. By choosing this central venue we hope to attract a large number of scientists and technicians who would not normally visit a laboratory animal meeting. Possibilities for day registration will be given. There is easy access from the city centre using the Airport Express Train (19 minutes).
Our aim is to make the principles of laboratory animal science and welfare visible for the scientific community, to provide an interface for discussion and to encourage future cooperation.
Those who attended the Scand-LAS symposium at Hafjell in 1998 will quickly feel at home in the Clarion Oslo Airport Hotel. The Airport Hotel, however, boasts in addition a number of amenities, including a large indoor bathing complex.

Those of you who participated in the Scand-LAS Symposium at Lillehammer in 1998 will instantly feel at home at this year's venue. The hotel is built in the same style, but is a larger conference hotel and includes an extensive indoor bathing complex. We believe that we have found a central venue with easy access, providing modern facilities and excellent service in a comfortable atmosphere.
Here you can see an overall view of the airport (with the hotel to the extreme left), an exterior view, an overall view of the hotel and plan of the facilities. The Trandumsal and Sessvoll auditorium, which will be used for the two main sessions, are featured here.
