HyperBrain

HyperBrain is designed as a core resource or shell for neuroscience education in association with "Slice of Life VI" videodisc. Its purpose is to complement, supplement or substitute for a traditional neuroanatomy laboratory. A series of 14 chapters in the syllabus written by O.E. Millhouse and S.S. Stensaas are linked to over 750 images. Each chapter is followed by quizzes as well as animated pathway diagrams taken from Duane Haines? Neuroanatomy Atlas. The program requires Slice of Life VI videodisc, a multi-disciplinary / multi-institutional shared disc of 38,500 images covering all areas of medical education. The Windows and Macintosh versions of HyperBrain are near replicas of each other apart from sound and the links to other Mac programs available on the latter.
