This guide facilitates scientists to obtain the core aspects of the care of laboratory animals.
The publication is an abbreviated version of the revised Appendix A of the European Convention for the Protection of Vertebrate Animals used for Experimental and other Scientific Purposes (ETS 123).
The inclusion of animals which were not included in the original Convention should be a step towards recognising the responsibility for all vertebrates used for experimental purposes as indicated in Appendix A.
