Pathobiology of the Aging Dog is an extension of the International Life Sciences Institute's series on the Pathobiology of Aging Laboratory Animals. This set is comprised of two volumes with 27 chapters in the first volume and 24 in the second. It takes an organ system approach to investigating age-associated changes that influence the interpretation of pathological findings in this species. The authors, internationally recognized experts from universities, industry, and other research centers, examine naturally occurring and artificially induced neoplastic and nonneoplastic lesions that are observed during ageing. Volume 1 covers chapters on: General aspects; Respiratory System; Hemopoietic System; Digestive System; Endocrine System; Reproductive System. Volume 2 covers chapters on: Nervous System; Special Senses (Eye, Ear); Cardiovascular System; Urinary System; Integumentary and Mammary Gland; Musculoskeletal System.
