Report of the Transport Working Group established by the Laboratory Animal Science Association (LASA).
The contents include: the impact of transport on animal welfare, legislation, route plans, habituation and fitness to travel, vehicle design, driver and attendant training and competence, the container and its environment, good practice for animal transport on site, specific requirements for species and animal groups (rodents, rabbits and ferrets, dogs and cats, non-human primates, minipigs and amphibians) and literature references.
