Through the use of extensive video, this CD provides the veterinary team with the necessary skills and knowledge to keep themselves safe, prevent bites and restain animals humanely and confidently. The veterinary team will learn: To safely and humanely handle and restrain dogs and cats as well as develop observational skills to improve understanding of animal behaviour; To identify and handle aggressive dogs and cats, including identifying the behavioural signs including their ears, eyes and tail, and the appropriate animal lifting and muzzling techniques; The step-by-step restraint techniques for examinations, rectals, radiography, injection and blood collections; How to use the following restraint aids: leashes, towels, muzzles, anaesthetic chambers, catch poles, sedatives, cat bags, squeeze cages and leather gloves. The team may complete the built-in self-assessment test and send the results to Lifelearn to collect 1 hour of continuing education (CE) credits and a Certificate of Completion. Lifelearn's practice license allows all team members to use the program and collect CE (Continuing Education).
