BioLab: Fly CD-ROM

BioLab: Fly is a virtual fruit fly genetics lab covering F1, F2, sex-linked, and dihybrid crosses. The program comes equipped with Fly Breeder, a powerful analysing tool that allows students to study 26 different characteristics found in fruit flies. Students may work on their own prior to, during and after a "wet" lab to enhance their comprehension of this insect. Students respond to questions to measure their understanding of the topic. In addition to virtual labs, the CD contains supplemental teaching materials (in Adobe PDF format) such as crossword puzzles, student worksheets, tests, quizzes, and related Carolina Bio Review Sheets.
