BioLab: Pig CD-ROM

BioLab: Pig guides students through the external and internal anatomy of the foetal pig. May be used as a prelab exercise in a virtual lab setting. The program includes an extension section where students can study the skeletal, digestive, circulatory, and reproductive systems by observing peristalsis, heart function, antagonistic muscles, kidney function and hormone balance. Students may work on their own prior to, during and after a "wet" lab to enhance their comprehension of this mammal. Students respond to questions to measure their understanding of the topic. In addition to virtual labs, the CD contains supplemental teaching materials (in Adobe PDF format) such as crossword puzzles, student worksheets, tests, quizzes, and related Carolina Bio Review Sheets.
