Dissection Activity Models: Grasshopper

This raised-relief plaque can be used to introduce basic external and internal structures of a grasshopper. Typical characteristics of an insect species with short antennae are depicted. Part of the exoskeleton is cut away to expose the internal organ systems. Both wings are visible. The underwing colour is revealed by the partly spread wings. A supplemental diagram illustrates the mouthparts in normal position as well as individually to display greater details. Includes a Teacher Activity Binder with lesson plans identifying 44 structures, copymasters for students activities and an overhead transparency. Constructed of high impact plastic reinforced with rigid foam.
