Surgical Canine

The SynDaver Surgical Canine (Hybrid Surgical Canine) is a simulator that includes individual bones, muscles, organs, veins and arteries. The simulator supports more than 30 common procedures and is basically like a large 3D jigsaw puzzle that may be refurbished indefinitely. The simulator breathes and bleeds like a real dog. It can be operated on repeatedly. It mimics live tissue and allows the simulation of any pathology or condition based on educational needs. Vet students will be challenged, and they will be able to repeat procedures over and over again. This dog simulator can be repeatedly serviced for continued use. Veterinary students and staff will not be exposed to formaldehyde commonly used to preserve dead animals.

The simulator is designed to replace live animals and animal cadavers in veterinary surgical training. This new dog simulator is based on more than 20 years of SynDaver research. Made of water, fibers and salt.

SynDaver Vet Tech designs synthetic cats and other animals to eliminate the need for anatomy and physiology dissection labs at university and high school level.
