Veterinary Physiology: A Multimedia CD-ROM

Description: This is a comprehensive multimedia CD-ROM for teaching, learning and self-testing in veterinary physiology. It aims to serve three needs: it can be used as teaching material, since the material follows the "writing on the blackboard" principle; it can be used for independent learning, since students can work their way through the material step by step; and it can be used as a self-testing resource, since it contains an extensive multiple-choice question repertoire for each chapter. In addition, each topic contain a summary. Based on more than six years of experience in multimedia teaching, the author includes: approximately 900 pages of textual information; 1000 figures that can be displayed step-by-step; 200 animations; 60 short video-clips; 50 summary tables on physiological data; and 2000 multiple-choice questions. The program includes a number of tools: a glossary, a list of abbreviations, navigation buttons, and help and information sections. An electronic notebook allows users to make notes on any page and then save them on their own hard discs.
