The Rat Dissection for iPhone and iPad is a simulation of wet lab dissection procedures. Students can dissect a virtual rat by performing the procedures done in a real dissection. The simulation includes the following sections: Start Dissection; Internal Organs (3D images). Key features are: Vivid 3 D images of internal organs; Step-by-step voice instructions; Accurate simulation of the wet lab dissection procedure; Dissection tools including pins, marker, scissors, scalpel and forceps are provided. The images of the individual organs can be rotated so that students can view them from different angles. Detailed information on the organs is provided to help the user learn the structure and function.  

Comments & References: Designed for middle and high school students. The simulation may be downloaded as an app from Apple Store here, free of charge (iOS devices only). iPad Screenshots are also available there. Produced by Emantras Inc in collaboration with Punflay. This simulation is reviewed.
