Description: |
It is important to the European Commission that Directive 2010/63/EU for the protection of animals used for scientific purposes is implemented correctly – especially by those making the difference: researchers, animal technologists and caretakers, members of animal welfare bodies, designated veterinarians as well as competent authorities. Therefore, together with all key stakeholders, we have developed a wide range of guidance material, intended to help all players in their different roles to apply the principles correctly. The guidance documents are addressed to all interested in the care and use of animals, and in particular to breeders, suppliers and users of animals as well as to officials and experts involved in specific tasks required by the Directive, such as the evaluation and authorisation of projects or inspections of establishments. The guidance documents can be viewed and downloaded free of charge. |
