It explains the role of enzymes in digestion as well as the roles of: the mouth and teeth (the difference between chemical and mechanical digestion is explained), the oesophagus (including peristalsis), epiglottis, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, liver, gall bladder and pancreas. The different steps of digestion, the absorption of nutrients and water, and the removal of wastes are also explained. The video also explains simply how proteins, carbohydrates and fats are digested differently.
