The Primate Aging Database (PAD) is a multi-centered, relational database of biological variables in aging nonhuman primates.
PAD has been funded for more than a decade by the NIH National Institute on Aging, initially through a contract with the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center, and more recently continuing by contract with CleMetric, LLC, of Madison, Wisconsin. Since migrating to CleMetric, PAD has been significantly enhanced in terms of data visualization, analytics and metadata. PAD currently contains more than one million data points for body weight, blood chemistry and hematology, for normally aging subjects across time. This information has been useful for research purposes with several peer reviewed publications already in the literature. PAD is also useful as a reference tool for clinical data presented in the context of changes across the lifespan. Access to PAD is freely available.
Those who might like to contribute additional data may contact Professor Joseph Kemnitz at the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center, University of Wisconsin-Madison.
