The American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) has maintained three distinct list serves:
- CompMed, which covers topics related to comparative medicine and laboratory animals
- TechLink (this record), which focused on technician-related issues
- IACUC Forum, which was a clearinghouse for material of relevance for Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees
TechLink was an electronic mailing list (listserv) created especially for animal care technicians in laboratory animal science. Open to AALAS national members, TechLink served as a method for laboratory animal technicians to exchange information and conduct discussions of common interest via e-mail messages with technicians in the U.S. and other countries around the world.
