This Trainer simulates a finger flexor tendon at approximately twice life-size. This Trainer allows for the practice of tendon repair skills in accordance with the revised RCS Intercollegiate BSS course. Skills: Tendon handling using hypodermic needles; Trimming tendon edges; Performing a Kessler suture. Features: Tensioning system and hinged digit allows for testing of repair once completed; Economical: each tendon can be used twice in conjunction with the skin sheath, many times without the skin sheath; Tendon material is comprised of an inner core with reinforced circumferential material - suitable for holding the appropriate sutures; Non-slip base.
