Description: EKGTUTOR utilizes graphics and simulations to teach basic ECG theory, the sequence of cardiac excitation, ECG lead systems and cardiac vectors. The last portion of the program utilizes simulation to show the relationship between vector loops, cardiac size and scalar ECG leads for the six limb leads. The program includes 5 series of questions to evaluate the student?s progress. Wrong answers on these questions return the student to the appropriate section in the program for review.
Comments & References: Menu-driven. Primarily designed as a review and reinforcement technique for a systemic, organ physiology course. Text is kept to a minimum and the emphasis is placed on graphics and simulations to provide for active participation by the user(s). Described in the Proc. 26th International ADCIS Conference, p. 66-70, 1985. See record numbers 141, 694, 695, 696, 702, 721, 803 and 4635 for the other 8 records in the Comp-Edu-Grams series.
