There is an urgent demand for toxicologists and risk assessors to implement in vitro testing results into the regulatory safety evaluation of chemicals. The course aim is to meet these demands by updating academics and professionals of the state-of-the-art of applied in vitro toxicology.

The lectures cover a broad spectrum of subjects pertinent to regulatory, screening and investigative in vitro toxicology. The interactive tutorials consist of a laboratory demonstration on in vitro skin irritation models and a computer tutorial on quantitative in vitro-in vivo extrapolation (QIVIVE). Course examination will be based on case study presentations by participants. Participants will receive a certificate in the case of a positive evaluation.
