CCAC Guidelines on training of personnel working with animals in science

These guidelines highlight the importance of competency, knowledge and skills in ensuring high standards of animal welfare.

These guidelines highlight the importance of competency, knowledge and skills in ensuring high standards of animal welfare. Issued in 2015, they may be downloaded from the CCAC website here. They include an appendix with a recommended syllabus for an institutional animal user training program, including a list of core topics and possible knowledge streams, as well as a list of links to CCAC resources which can support training programs.

They replace the old CCAC Guidelines on institutional animal user training, published in 1999.
