The UK Government has issued Guidance on the use of human material in animals, under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986.

The UK Government has issued Guidance on the use of human material in animals, under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986.

This Guidance brings together information on the various regulations surrounding the use of animals containing human material (ACHM) and the relevant authorities. It has been created in collaboration with the Human Tissue Authority, the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority and the Academy of Medical Sciences (AMS).

Since this Act has been revised in order to transpose the EU Directive 2010/63, this Guidance is of interest to other European countries also.
