The U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP) provides historical control data from its animal toxicity studies. Tumor incidences and growth and survival curves for control animals from the NTP's two-year carcinogenesis studies are summarized by species, sex, route of administration, and vehicle. The historical controls for a number of genetically modified models are also available.
In addition to the genetically modified models, the data represent two rodent species: Fischer 344/N rats and B6C3F1 mice.
The historical data are maintained in the NTP Toxicology Data Management System at National Institute of Environmental Health Science. The summary of tumor incidence in control animals is updated annually or semi-annually depending on the number of studies completed.
The Historical Control Database can be found here.
