Mouse Genome Informatics (MGI) Database

MGI is an international database resource for the laboratory mouse, providing integrated genetic, genomic, and biological data to facilitate the study of human health and disease.

Produced by The Jackson Laboratory, MGI is an international database resource for the laboratory mouse, providing integrated genetic, genomic, and biological data to facilitate the study of human health and disease.

The database can be accessed here. The website includes a section called Human-Mouse Disease Connection where the connection between human disease and mouse models can be searched by genes, genome locations, disease or phenotype. The site also hosts an Introduction to Mouse Genetics and a Glossary of Terms.

The MGI also hosts two email lists for the genetics research community: MGI-LIST for topics in mouse genetics and MGI updates; and MGI-TECHNICAL-LIST for technical information about accessing MGI data, using APIs, and making links to MGI.
