Mouse Phenome Database (MPD)

This resource is a collaborative standardized collection of measured data on laboratory mouse strains.

Produced by The Jackson Laboratory, the Mouse Phenome Database is a collaborative standardized collection of measured data on laboratory mouse strains. Its purpose is to characterize mouse strains in order to facilitate translational discoveries and to assist in selection of strains for experimental studies.

The database includes baseline phenotype data sets as well as studies of drug, diet, disease and aging effect. Also includes protocols, projects and publications, and SNP, variation and gene expression studies. Data sets are voluntarily contributed by researchers from a variety of institutions and settings, or in some cases retrieved by The Jackson Laboratory from open public sources.
The database contains data for classical inbred strains, other fixed-genotype strains, derived lines and populations that are openly acquirable. Data can be found for a particular strain by name or stock number. Two strains can be compared as regards phenotype, genotype and gene expression.
The Mouse Phenome Database can be accessed here.
