The Interspecies Database contains data on physiological, anatomical and biochemical parameters for a range of animal species and humans.

The Interspecies Database contains data on physiological, anatomical and biochemical parameters for a range of animal species and humans. The database was developed by the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) in the Netherlands and the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports. It is provided on the Internet by the 3Rs Centre Utrecht (3RCU) at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, in collaboration with the RIVM.

Search filters can be applied for body organ, species (dog, human, monkey, mouse, pig, rabbit and rat), age class, gender, body condition and a range of clinical and physiological parameters. The literature references on which the entries are based can be accessed, sorted by author.

The database can be accessed at www.interspeciesinfo.com
