Comprehensive coverage is provided through indexing of over 5,000 serials, plus many other sources of information including books, reports, and meetings. The broad scope of coverage ranges from biodiversity and the environment to taxonomy and veterinary sciences.

There are more than 30,000 records on pain management, humane killing, humane issues in wildlife management and control, restraint, husbandry and other animal welfare issues.

Access to Zoological Record is by subscription.
