Description: | Practicing microsurgical techniques on the MD PVC-rat or studying the anatomy of the rat using the anatomical model of the rat can reduce the number of animals needed in for example (bio) medical schools or universities drastically. The unique combination of manuals, films and models helps to achieve reduction, replacement and refinement of animal based experiments (acc. to Russell and Burch 1974). |

The model is 4 times life size (approximately 150 centimeters long), and shows the anatomy of the rat in many details. The organs can be lifted out and have fine structures. |
