Anton Krag trained as a Zoologist at the University of Oslo, and has taken a FELASA C-course in Laboratory Animal Science. He is the manager of the Norwegian Animal Protection Alliance (Dyrevernalliansen), where he works in particular on the use of animals in research and wildlife. He has worked with animal protection issues for over 25 years. Among other things, he has been the animal welfare representative in the Norwegian Animal Research Authority (2001-2009). In 2016 he was chosen by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority as one of their national experts for matters concerned with the regulation of animal research. He is interested in scientific results, especially methods to replace animals with alternatives.
