A comprehensive atlas of more than 7,000 original colour micrographs of cells, tissues, and organs which focusses on mammalian and human histology. There are also photographs of non-mammalian and plant materials where appropriate concepts or ideas are readily portrayed. Images are often presented three times: once with no label, again with an identifying arrow and again with descriptive text. The extra frames are included with the intention of allowing the user to create personal barcode books and computer programs tailored to a particular audience. All 7000 images are indexed with complete commentary in the Histology VideoIndex. Product contents are: Cytology; Epithelia; Connective Tissue Proper; Specialized Connective Tissues: Cartilage, Bone, Bone Marrow, Circulating Blood; Muscle; Nervous Tissue; Cardiovascular System; Lymphatic System; Respiratory System; Urinary System; Endocrine System; Integument; Digestive System; Male Reproductive System; Female Reproductive System; and Special Senses.

Requirements: Use of Keyboard Video products such as the histology VideoIndex require a level 3 videodisc player with an RS-232 interface. The Keyboard Video products support all current Level 3 Pioneer and Sony players (Macintosh software also supports Hitachi and Panasonic players). If the user is outside North America, ensure that the user is using a NTSC compatible player. A connecting cable to connect the computer to the videodisc player. A colour monitor to display the videodisc images. A connecting cable to connect the monitor to the videodisc player. Barcode reader required for interactive use of videodisc.
