This record deals with the cannulation of the abdominal aorta, which is used for measurement of blood pressure and heart beat. Beside the surgical instructions, the morphology of the abdominal aorta and associated blood vessels are shown. The principles of the procedure to measure blood pressure and heart beat are demonstrated. Furthermore the maintenance of the cannula and several precautions are shown.
