Description: Bio-Monitor is an inexpensive and simple system which amplifies cardiac bioelectrical signals. A substitute for frog pithing to study the functions of the heart. It is essentially a simplified ECG that operates on transistor radio batteries and provides the user with an audible and visual response (beeping sound and flashing light). The unit employs two electrodes that can easily be attached at the wrist. Students can compare their heart rates while sitting, standing or reclining. Variability of data between sexes, height of students, athletes and smokers can also be compared. A lab manual of bioelectrical theory and student experiments is included. Request the pamphlet ?Studying Bioelectricity and Cardiography? by Daniel Kimbrough, Ph.D. A finger ergograph is also available. A comprehensive Teacher?s Manual and batteries are included.
