Biochemical Simulations: The Virtual Laboratory was intended to supplement or replace laboratory classes, although, for those who intend to progress to careers in experimental science real hands-on laboratory is obviously essential. The nine simulation exercises were: Energy Balance: Food intake and physical activity; Enzyme Assay; Enzyme Purification; Oxidative phosphorylation; Mutations in an exon; Peptide Sequence: Sequencing a small peptide; Nitrogen Balance and Protein Requirements; Radio-immunoassay of Oestradiol: Measurement of hormones; Urea Synthesis: Formation and metabolism of ammonia.
The software is still available for free from David Bender.
Version: 2006
