Canine Muscle Groups (CP)

Description: Canine Muscle Groups 0.8 is an independent study courseware designed to encourage students to think in terms of muscle groups instead of individual muscles, as they study veterinary anatomy.   In contrast to regarding muscles individually, thinking of muscles in terms of regional groups facilitates learning and recall.   Muscles within a given region generally share similar actions and innervation.   Canine Muscle Groups 0.8 presents canine muscles organized into logical muscle groups within body regions.   Navigation buttons enable students to view muscle subgroups or larger muscle groups.   Illustrations used in this program were obtained from "Miller's Guide to the Dissection of the Dog" by Evans & deLahunta, 4th edition, 1996, W.B. Saunders and from "Pictorial Anatomy of the Dog" by Ellenberger, Baum & Dittrich, 1956, Dover Publications.
