Colonoscopy Training Model

This simulator is suitable for practising colonoscope handling and techniques. The trainee is presented with a wide range of challenges, varying from simple and uncomplicated cases to difficult and sensitive variations. The simulator provides the necessary training required to avoid patient pain and discomfort during the examination. The trainee can practise: Colonoscope insertion and withdrawal; Insufflation and suction of colon; Manipulation of the colonoscope. The colon tube is soft and flexible, allowing realistic insertion and withdrawal of the colonoscope. The colon tube can be made airtight for insufflation and suction, and is easily positioned within the abdominal shell for the different case studies supplied. The tube is detachable and easy to clean using only water. Includes five different colon layout guides, with six case studies and a training guide. By using the supplied abdominal skin, manual abdominal compression can be practised. The simulator can be orientated in left lateral or supine positions.
