This product includes a multi-layered pad containing three filled veins used for practising the cutdown procedure. The veins are deep within the skin layers and only located by palpating the surface. Each pad may be cut up to 10-12 times. Cannulas can be inserted and veins ligated both distally and proximally. The following skills can be performed on this product: Palpation to locate vein position; Incising tissue layers; Inserting a cannula; Vein injection both distally and proximally; Tying off veins. Features: Layered pad simulating the epidermis and subdermal layers; Three straight veins (each 150mm long) filled with mock blood (artificial). This product includes 1 Cutdown Pad.
Suitable for training students in this emergency procedure. Please Note: it is recommended that the veins are tied off each time so that the next student may repeat the procedure without losing the contents from the veins.
