This model (20mm OD) is a realistic two layer bowel simulation for learning and practising anastomosis techniques. Training skills: Tissue handling; Single layer extra mucosal suturing; Continuous suturing technique; End-to-end extra mucosal anastomosis; End-to-side anastomosis; Stapling.
Features of this model: Two layers; Realistic tissue response; Non-biological material: no hygiene issues or problems; Mobile when held in Soft Tissue Retaining Set (item number 50151); Will withstand a fluid flush test to demonstrate integrity of the anastomosis.
Available as: Double Layer Bowel 20 mm OD (this record) and as Double Layer Bowel 30 mm OD. Length: 200mm. This item may be borrowed for up to 6 weeks through the Alternative Loan System of the International Network for Humane Education (InterNICHE), free of charge, but return postage must be paid by the person who has borrowed the product. Please note that there are practical limitations on where some items can be sent.
