Griffon Vulture Skull (Gyps fulvus) is a 2-part skull with separate cranium & jaw. The Griffon vulture is an Old World vulture that can be found in parts of southern Europe, southwest and central Asia, and North Africa. This scavenger feeds mostly on carrion that it finds soaring over open grassland areas. Its strong, hooked beak is uniquely equipped for tearing flesh. This cast would a great addition to any biology, zoology or paleontology program studying comparative bird skull anatomy.
