Description: Head To Head 1.3 is an independent study courseware designed to help student learn head anatomy of three animal species: Dog, Ox and Horse. Anatomical features of the head are presented in quiz format and include: bones and cavities of the skull, muscles, nerves and vessels for the dog, ox and horse. The program is interactive, fast-paced and individualized. A matching question format (quiz format) has been used for the core of the program to maximize the number of questions which can be presented on an individual screen. Comments and graphics are combined to facilitate deductive responses whenever feasible. The sequence is arranged so that information on one screen will illuminate questions on later screens. A score is presented for each screen and a cumulative score is provided for related topics. Students may skip screens which are not of interest to them. Those who wish to review material rather than use the drill can view all of the answers for an individual screen.
Comments & References: Suitable for first-year veterinary students studying Gross Anatomy. Head To Head 1.3 is a HyperCard stand-alone application (Mac platform).
