The real bone specimen of an adult horse, male (Equus ferus caballus) is composed of approximately 252 individual bones. It represents a typical example of the order of odd-toed ungulates. There are only minimal differences in body plan between the different breeds of horses. It is supplied on a display base mounted on wheels for easy demonstation.
