This product is the First in a Series of two CD-ROMs designed to guide the clinician to an understanding of the cutaneous diseases of domestic animals, their diagnosis and treatment. The structure makes learning approachable at many levels starting with a simple approach to clinical signs and diagnostic features, through detailed aspects of therapy, and leading to a comprehensive foundation to knowledge of a series of cutaneous disease syndromes. At every stage the user selects the desired level by the optional use of embedded knowledge accessible via multilevel pop-up descriptions and graphics. Each CD is equipped with self-testing systems and realistic case challenges enabling the user to evaluate the accumulation of knowledge progressively throughout the learning process. "Crusting and Scaling Dermatoses in Dogs" and "Allergic Skin Diseases in Dogs" are included on this CD-ROM. The Second title in this Series is "Canine Pyoderma".

Comments & References: Available in French and Spanish. The French and Spanish titles of this CD-ROM are, respectively: "Apprentissage Interactif de la Dermatologie" and "Aprendizaje Interactivo en Dermatologia". This resource was produced by CLIVE (Computer-aided Learning in Veterinary Education)a consortium of United Kingdom veterinary schools. In collaboration with external bodies CLIVE also produced electronic materials suitable for Continuing Professional Development, published on CD-ROM and available from the CLIVE office.
