This is a relief model of a full human figure showing the relationship between the brain, spinal cord, and spinal nerves. Demonstrates coordinated structure and functions of the central and peripheral nervous systems. An enlarged cross-section model of the human brain exposes the structure and helps students pinpoint specific functions. A removable transparent brain overlay helps in definition of lobes. Highly magnified model of two typical nerve cells shows dendrites, axon and synapse. This is a realistic, 3-dimensional model for studies of body structure and function. The model is in full colour, with features numbered and identified in the accompanying Lesson plan. Constructed of high impact plastic reinforced with rigid foam. The model may be marked with washable markers and then wiped clean. Measures 18 x 24 inches (46 x 61 cm).
