This life size-model of a rat provides an excellent basis for anatomical studies in schools. Manufactured in durable plastics with clear colouring, the model may be used as an introduction to practical dissection or to teach anatomy where no dissections will be carried out. All the important structures are shown in the typical ventral dissection, including the heart, lungs, liver, stomach and intestines, which can all be removed for closer examination. The four-piece model is mounted on a black plastic base. A key card with 5 illustrations is included with the model, identifying 25 structures, showing the heart and lungs; liver; stomach; oesophagus; spleen; pancreas; intestines; the whole rat with and without certain organs removed to reveal other internal structures.
Comments & References: Moulded from a real specimen. Size: 12 x 6 x 4 inches (30 x 15 cm).
