Description: Tubular Organs 1.1 is an independent study courseware that reviews the morphology of the major components comprising the walls of tubular organs of the gastrointestinal, respiratory, reproductive, and urinary systems of mammals and birds.   Schematical illustrations of epithelium and glands, connective tissue and muscle are included.   The program is presented in two parts: Review and Self-Quiz.   Review, emphasizing basic morphological components, that should be considered in identifying tubular organs.   Information for each tubular organ system is presented in a questions and answer format.   Answers are covered by buttons to encourage student to think about the question and to determine the answer before it is revealed.   Self-Quiz: Illustrates profiles of selected tubular organs presented as they would appear in a microscopical tissue section.   The student is given a number of options from which to select the correct response.   Feedback is provided by: score achieved (% correct); highlighting of correct response; acknowledgement message for correct response; short explanation for incorrect response.
