This colour atlas is a comprehensive summary of the histo-and cytopathology of preneoplastic and neoplastic lesions in laboratory rodents. Each chapter is introduced by a short text explaining the principles and standards of the classification of preneoplasia and neoplasia in the rodent tissues examined. Examples of lesions are presented by a large number of microscopic colour pictures providing a sound basis for correct diagnosis which is crucial for the evaluation of many animal experiments including carcinogenetic bioassays. This atlas is an updated form of a working document started in 1971, emerging from the EULEP (European Late Effects Project) discussion workshops.
192 pages. 326 colour and 38 black & white illustrations. Hardcover. Suitable for pathologists, toxicologists and biologists working on rodent models in cancer research or in developmental biology.
