Produced by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Live Animals Regulations (LAR) are the global standard and the essential guide to transporting animals by air in a safe, humane and in a cost-effective manner.

The LAR contain up-to-date airline and government requirements pertaining to the transport of live animals; requirements for handling, marking and labelling; information on the necessary documentation neded when transporting live animals; a comprehensive classification of thousands of animal species along with the container specifications required for their transport; and guidelines for the non-air transport of live animals and plants.

English, Spanish and French versions of the LAR are available in digital and print formats.
