OVAM is an online resource that aims to provide access to veterinary anatomical resources in the form of a virtual museum. It provides supplements to the traditional teaching of veterinary students. There is a plethora of content to match this demand, but it is difficult for the students to locate this material. A google search will locate thousands of possible links, but the majority are of dubious value. The teaching of anatomy in veterinary schools around the world shares many common approaches. OVAM was established to promote free sharing of peer reviewed content. The museum now hosts digital assets from more than 15 institutions including all the UK veterinary school and vet schools in the rest of Europe, India and Australasia.
