VOXEL-MAN 3D-Navigator: Inner Organs, Regional, Systemic and Radiological Anatomy

This product allows interactive exploration of a detailed 3D anatomical human model and it presents the radiological manifestation of normal anatomy in the context of 3D anatomy. Each structure is labelled and described and can be explored directly on the screen. This should help the user to improve the understanding of both X-ray and cross-sectional radiological images. The program is based on a high resolution realistic body model that was derived from the cross-sectional images of the Visible Human Project. It contains about 650 3D anatomical objects, mostly of the thorax and the abdomen, including nervous and cardiovascular systems. The anatomical nomenclature is available in Latin, English and German, and the manual is available in either English or German.  Stereoscopic viewing is available for the key scenes (use red/green stereo glasses, included in the package). The product provides reference material.

Suitable as reference material for medical students and professionals in all medical disciplines involving anatomy and radiology. Also suitable for interested non-specialists that want to explore the inner structure of the human body using the 3D-Navigator. Available for free download under a Creative Commons license.
