The VOXEL-MAN 3D Navigator: Upper Limb (Arm and Hand) is based on a high resolution realistic digital body model that was derived from cross-sectional images of the Visible Human Project. It contains approximately 320 three-dimensional anatomical objects of the arm and the hand including bones, muscles, arteries, nerves, tendons and ligaments. Each structure is labelled and described and may be explored directly on the screen. Unlike traditional sources, this product presents the radiological manifestation of normal 3D anatomy and improves the understanding of X-ray images. The material is organised into 11 scenes that can be interactively explored and additionally viewed in stereoscopic vision (red/green glasses included in the package).
Suitable as reference material for medical students, professionals in all medical disciplines involving hand surgery, anatomy and radiology. Also suitable for non-specialists that are interested in exploring the human arm and hand using VOXEL-MAN 3D Navigator. The VOXEL-MAN 3D Navigator: Upper Limb (Arm and Hand) is the latest addition to a series of interactive atlases of anatomy and radiology. The anatomical nomenclature is available in Latin, English and German. The manual is available in English and German. Available for free download under a Creative Commons license.
