Volume 1 and 2 provide a comparative study of the five principal species of small mammals used in biomedical research. In this two-volume set the authors illustrate in great detail the anatomy of each species, permitting comparisons between species and highlighting morphological differences of clinical significance. Volume 1 covers the rabbit and guinea pig, this volume covers the rat, mouse and golden hamster.
